Turns Herself Round & She Smiles & She Says This Is It That's the End of the Joke

Ah yes, pretty in pink. Well, I try (tho' my hubbi stole the tripod so taking a photo this morning was extra challenging!).

I've always loved pink, especially hot pink. That's the '80s girl in me. Love it better than baby pastel pinks, like, omg, totally.

What I'm wearing:
Black cardigan, Macy's
Hot pink sleeveless knit shirt with deep ruffle, NY & Company
Black twill pencil skirt, MetroStyle
Black tights, unknown brand
Black & pink pumps, Irregular Choice (closeups here)
Black beaded bib necklace, Torrid
Gunmetal hoop earrings, NY & Company
Pink crystal pyramid cocktail ring, Icing
Pink & black flower hair pin, Icing

Any other children of the '80s out there?

  1. *raises hand*

*looks over at the drawer-full of vintage 80's sewing patterns*

*tries to resis the ever-present urge to make an 80s style 'Bigshirt' complete with split tails in the back, like the one I wore with leggings for the first day of school back in 7th grade (1986-87 school year)*

  2. Bauhausfrau - But of course!

Angldst - Bigshirt & leggings was my unofficial high school uniform ;-) A two-tone paisley bigshirt was one of my favourite things I sewed for myself too.

  3. I may have worn a black rubber bracelet or twenty.

  4. siouxsie - Heh, they're lurking in my jewelry box s'where too...

  5. I read the post about your pink pumps (which are adorable), and went straight to Amazon to check out Irregular Choice shoes. I really didn't need more shoes to get hooked on, but I now have a pair of their purple metallic pumps. Which are adorable and comfy, and even the box is so cool that I want to carry it around like a purse. At least some of them aren't as expensive as Fluevogs.

  6. Nicole - Isn't the box awesome??? I've saved & reused the boxes from the 2 pair of Irregular Choice shoes I have. And yep, best deals on Amazon.
