Cost Per Wear

I love this sweater. When I bought it & first blogged it, I called this "the most expensive sweater," because I had never paid $80 for a cardigan before. Well, I've worn it 9 times that I've blogged in the past year & probably a few more. So the cost per wear is less than $9 right now, & that will go down because I haven't fallen out of love with this baby. I could easily wear it as many times in the next year.

What I'm wearing:
Black & white print cardigan, White House Black Market | Black T-shirt, Old Navy | Black corduroy skirt, H&M | Black tights, Calvin Klein | Black kitten-heel pumps with tiny silver buckles, Payless Shoe Source | Silver filigree earrings, Target | Skull & black bead choker, DisneyLand

  1. What a great way to look at it. I've spent more on items I've worn less, so a very useable piece like this is totally worth $80!

  3. I like your rational and cost per wear ;) I think that is a good way of looking at purchasing garments...and the sweater is awesome!

  4. I can tend to be a cheapskate, but thinking about the cost-per-wear reminds me it's worth the while to invest in quality too.

  5. It definitely encourages me to buy better quality instead of cheap stuff that falls apart fast!

  6. I'm a great believer in paying for things that last...I have a lot of things that are 10 or 15 years old (that I got myself, not that I bought vintage!)
