Paralysis in Pink

I'm well & truly stuck in a rut. I've been having a hard time doing anything creative recently, whether it's putting together an interesting outfit (& thus having anything worth blogging about) to writing (here or elsewhere) to sewing to you name it. My career is stuck, my artistic life is stuck, I'm stuck.

What I'm wearing:
Hot pink cardigan, unknown brand, maybe thrifted | Black knit top with 3D roses, Newport News | Black corduroy skirt, H&M | Black tights, Calvin Klein | Black & pink stripe flats, DSW (shout-out to Coffin Kitsch for mentioning these & inspiring me to get 'em) | Pink & gold earrings, Ruche

I don't quite know how to get my groove back other than try & push through. That's really hard, & yet it's all I can do at this exact moment. I'm open to suggestions tho!

  1. Cute little shoes with those buckles on! :) When I'm in that kind of mood, I try to rest a little, suddenly the inspiration is back. I hope you won't be/feel stuck for too long. Hugs

  2. Trystan, so sorry to hear you feel stuck. Usually it's just time that's needed, but maybe doing something completely different from your usual activities could help. In any case, loving the pink and black!

  3. Maybe it's time for a vacation? Or to buy cute stuff that you don't need on Etsy?

    I love those shoes!

  4. Thanks! I'm prob. in a 'too busy' time right now, which doesn't help things.

  7. Aww, love, I'm sorry to hear that! *sends you creative vibes through the Web* This is a very cute outfit, and I especially love your blouse and shoes. Maybe buy some more pretty clothes or accessories? Sometimes I find that helps me! Good luck with everything. *hugs*

  9. Sorry to hear it Trystan! I'm sure you will find your spark of creativity again very soon. Perhaps some meditation/yoga might assist?

If it makes you feel any better, *you* are my inspiration to be more creative! Since reading your websites and blogs, I have started sewing lessons etc! I am not great at sewing or creative pursuits, but I'm giving it a go!

Also, you look awesome here! Pink really suits you!

Thank you once again for inspiring me (and continuing to inspire me) in many ways!

  10. Wow, thanks so much. That means a lot. Good luck with the sewing, it can drive me crazy, but the results are worth it!

Trystan, you pull of flats VERY well. May sound strange but they just don't work for a lot of people-including myself. I have absolutely no problem admitting I look like an oompa loompa in them. Anywhoo... yeah flats can be tricky. And colored or patterned ones even trickier. They look lovely and natural for you. These are very cute :-)
