Coincidentally, today was an awfully grey day, rainy & dark this morning, so I was confined to the porch for photos. I prefer grey weather when I can stay inside! Unfortunately, I had to take the bus to work, & of course it rained hardest when I walked to & from the bus.
What I'm wearing:
Grey knit dress with black trim, bought in London | Black tights, Calvin Klein | Tall black leather boots, Clarks | Black, pearl, & crystal choker, random accessory store | Gunmetal hoop earrings, random accessory store
Here's a little round-up of some of my favorite grey CorpGoth outfits ... my grey-test hits, you might say (*groan*).
- Cute or crazy? Grey pattern-mixing.
- Lots of walking in my favorite grey-print, custom-made dress.
- All business in a grey sheath dress.
- Hidden bat week with grey pinstripe jacket.
- My boots make my outfit, but they go great with this grey sweater.
- Casual Tuesdays with black & grey stripes & bats.
- Another foggy morning in a grey & black dress.
- My 100th blogged outfit including a grey & white stripe sweater.
- Classic with an edge & layered grey.
- First time mixing patterns with grey, black, white, & spiderwebs.
- O-Dark-Thirty with black & grey stripes & a grey skirt.
If that's not enough grey for you, take a little tour of my living room, which we painted grey with glossy black trim. Thanks to Bane of Goth It Yourself for the reminder about how excellent grey is for interiors! I've lived with it so long (a decade) that I take it for granted.
Grey walls are really the perfect elegant background for our Victorian-esque furnishings. Anything darker would drown them out, but grey lets things like the burgundy velvet couch & oriental rug shine.
Wow, that dress is so gorgeous and elegant! The pintucking and trim really make it pop, I think. And I looove your little gargoyle and the trim in your living room-wonderful!ReplyDelete
It was a gray day in Denver too. You look lovely- that dress is awesome!ReplyDelete
The dress is great.; I love the trim. Plus your bracelet is a perfect contrast to the delicate details on the dress.ReplyDelete
That dress is beautiful, definitely something I would like to wear.ReplyDelete
I fell in love with the beautiful trimming in your livingroom. Grey really is a fantastic colour!
Very beautiful dress! How nice that you made a list of 'gray' outfit posts.ReplyDelete
The details in that dress give it loads of classy character! Gray (grey) really is the perfect neutral. I never thought to use it in home decor, but I totally love what you and Bane have done with it. It is truly the perfect backdrop for gargoyles! :) And your wallpaper trim is to die for. Do you have textured walls? I ruled out any wallpaper or trim because we have that orange peel texture and I'm not sure how that would work out...ReplyDelete
Lovely outfit. I'm sorry but I WILL COPY IT. :)ReplyDelete
This is a great outfit. I love the dress, the black trim detail, and the face-framing necklace! You have so many gray outfits!ReplyDelete
My boyfriend and I are renovating our hallway in the same colors as your lounge! Pale gray and gloss black trim. I can't wait; atm it's all white and disgusting! Needs goth-ifying!
Thanks! The gargoyle was a wedding gift from my aunt (who's an interior decorator).ReplyDelete
Heh, I've been wearing this studded cockring or one almost identical since I was 16.ReplyDelete
I knew I had a few gray clothing items, but I didn't realize that many until I went thru the archives!ReplyDelete
The living room walls are not textured, so yep, that made the trim apply nicely. Only the walls out back in our detached garage/studio have that rough texture -- took twice as much paint to cover them, ugh, so no way we could add anything more.ReplyDelete
Hee, I'll consider it flattery ;-)ReplyDelete
Fabulous, black & grey are so great in the home!ReplyDelete
