Used Up

I have apparently used up all my creativity on other things. I spent last week & the weekend sewing, & I'm kind of still in a mindset to make frou-frou stuff. Which I think is sapping my mojo for making interesting outfits.

I'm still wearing nice-looking clothes because, hey, that's what's in the closet. But nothing spectacular. Oh well. Apparently, I can only do one thing at a time.

What I'm wearing:
Black knit top, NY & Co.
Black velvet & satin swirl skirt, unknown brand
Purple floral print scarf, Old Navy
Black studded belt, Macy's
Purple crystal "Y" necklace & matching earrings, random accessory store
Grey herringbone print stockings, Calvin Klein
Black ribbon-tie pumps, Clarks

Do you ever feel like you have just enough creativity / mojo / effort for just one thing at a time? Is there anything you can do that helps?

  1. I think I can relate. Sometimes the business/busy ness of life just gets in the way for the play of creativity. No worries though- it's all about expression and having fun. Have fun!

  2. Rest is the best way to re-fuel creativity for me. I get boring when I am stressed and tired. a little thinking time before bed does wonders for renewing my spirit and creativity. :)

  3. I agree with Hexotica - rest! Also a bit of fun helps me. When I get out and do some dancing, spend an evening around other alt.ppl, and just have some fun, I feel so recharged. The next day I am amped and full of motivation and creativity!

I love the stockings! You're dressed better on an off day than most are at their best. ;)

  4. Rest is best! Work is so exhausting now, I look at the alterations I am planning and just can't get up the energy to go for it. I also have a xmas wreath I was planning on pulling apart for a project and the (now very brown) thing is still in one piece (I couldn't even get up the energy to take it down, husband finally did that in February...it haunts the garage, taunting me).
