Casual Friday

I usually work from home on Fridays, so I dress *very* casually. We're talking PJs or yoga pants & T-shirts. Also, my office is *very* casual, so I could wear jeans every single day of the week & be right in line with what most people wear. But I don't, because, well, you know, that's not my style.

I did have to go into the office today because a senior VP was coming up from the SoCal office to have lunch with everyone in our office. It wasn't a formal meeting, just a lunch, & again, it's on Friday & this is a casual office. So I didn't dress up.

What I'm wearing:
Black & white striped silk blouse, Spiegel | Black jeans, Levis | Red ankle boots with low heels, Aerosoles | Silver filigree earrings, Target | Red flower hair pin, random accessory store

Do you have "casual Fridays" at work? Or is your office casual every day?

  1. There are only 2 people in my office, the boss and me, so I could get away with more casual than I do. I stick to a "casual Friday" routine (for which I DO love wearing my jeans) to maintain some professionalism, although I'm glad to have the flexibility of dressing down when it's especially rainy or if I'm feeling a bit out of it. Love the stripes and red flower and boots. A very smart-looking casual you have going on! =)

  2. My office has a casual Thursday and Friday; there aren't many women in my office in the first place, and I'm one of the few that wears skirts or dresses or "fancy" clothes with regularity. I rather like it that way :)

  3. Oh what a lovely blouse! I love the puffiness on the sleeves. We are casual every day in our office everyone wears Jeans our whatever they like. Mostly I wear tights and a Jersey dress our tunic and skirt.

  4. My office is casual every day, but I try to dress up a little because I get bored with casual (plus most casual staples, like jeans, don't work on me).

  6. That blouse is awesome.

I work in academia, and sometimes faculty wear sweatshirts to work. During break, a particular coworker shows up in matching sweats. I guess that's our casual day.
